Like 99.999999% of library staff, she believes libraries can save the world.

He strives to view the library as a school subject and tries to present the space as an unwritten part of the curriculum. Little Seth was never much of a reader until he discovered genre fiction in his school library, but from then on, his enthusiasm for the written word evolved into a fondness for learning.
Sarah Da Silva Marques (EMSB)
Sarah is a librarian with Educational Services at the English Montreal School Board. She has worked in both elementary and high schools as either a librarian or a documentation technician. She earned her MLIS at the University of Western Ontario during the COVID-19 lockdowns instead of growing a sourdough starter, which was a difficult decision. Before going into library science, she earned a BFA in Intermedia (video art, robotics, web design, and weird performance art) with a minor in Animation at Concordia University. Like most undergraduates, she went through a puppetry phase. As a child, she was a reluctant reader and hated visiting the school library.
